Pada tanggal 17 Agustus 2022 Zoom Video Communications, Inc. merilis imbauan keamanan kerentanan Local Privilege Escalation pada Auto Updater Zoom Client for Meetings untuk macOS yang selanjutnya dideskripsikan pada CVE-2022-28757. Kerentanan tersebut berada pada fitur auto updater dimana pengguna lokal dengan hak istimewa yang rendah dapat mengeksploitasi kerentanan ini untuk meningkatkan hak istimewa menjadi root.
